Amir ibn Sharahil al-Sha’bi was a renowned scholar from Kufa. He was famous for having met five hundred companions of the Prophet ﷺ and for his incredible memory. He once remarked, “I have never written anything on paper, nor has anyone narrated a hadith to me except that I memorized it.”
Al-Sha’bi was not only a master of Hadith and Fiqh but also an expert in history, poetry, and mathematics. He served as a judge and a diplomat, known for his sharp intellect and quick wit.
